Weekly Blah Blah 013009 : Almanac Project! 5,642
Greetings Nada Nation!
Mandy here to bring you this week’s blah blah. Can you believe it’s already the last week of January – where has this month gone? The band has been trying to document this month as it flew by, while they have been working on their new record. That’s right, a new record! This one is a little different than anything they have done before. I’ll let Jason tell you a little bit about it. Take it away Jason . . .
Hey All. I am excited to introduce you to our new recording project. The Almanac Project. It is a little different than the way we have approached writing, record, and releasing our previous material. We know this is going to be an important year, and we know we will be inspired and influenced by it, so we decided to stretch the process out for the entire year of 2009. But we wanted you to be involved if you are interested. Hence. . . The Almanac Project. We have one song done and you can download it for free, here. If you want to find out more info .
Thanks for the info, Jason. As a special treat, you can get the first song of the Almanac project for FREE! Bitter Love is the weekly ear snack, brought to you by Authentic Records. However, this track is ONLY available until Wednesday (2/4). After that, it will disappear from the ear snack line-up and only be available when you purchase Almanac.

Tour Schedule
Next week takes us on a little mini-tour. Along with this tour comes good news! Ian will be back in action on drums . . . WOOHOO!! To continue with the good news, we’re not losing Scott . . . he’ll be joining us on keys (I wonder how many instruments this guy play?). We’ll try to stream the shows – we suggest you tune in. Live stream or check twitter for updates.
Wednesday (2/4) we’ll be in Chicago. Be sure to take control of the break room TV over your lunch hour on Wednesday, and turn it to WGN. We’ll be on one segment during the local news (between 11:30-noon), along with 3 other segments during their national news (from 12-1pm). Hopefully your boss doesn’t mind you hogging the television OR taking a 1.5 hour lunch break.
Wednesday night, we’ll be at Schuba’s (3159 North Southport). Our good friend Mike Himebaugh will be opening the show . . . definitely join us for this party. For more information, the website is www.schubas.com (this show is 21+).
Thursday (2/5) we’ll head back to Iowa to play at the Hub in Cedar Falls (402 Main Street). Three reasons to go out on Thursday night: 1) Authentic Records’ very own Bonne Finken will open the show!! 2) Marcus and crew run a great club. 3) Thursday night was always the best night to go out in college, so we should continue the tradition and start the weekend early. Check the Hub’s website for more info: www.thehublivemusic.com (18+ show w/ college ID, 19+ without).
Friday (2/6), we will be spending in Iowa City at Vito’s. Vito’s (118 E College Street) is under new management and hoping to revive Iowa City’s live music scene (P.S. the entry age is now 21+). Vito’s website: www.vitosic.com. Hope to see you there!!!
Saturday (2/7) we’ll be at the Waiting Room in Omaha (6212 Maple Street) with Sarah Benck and The Robbers along with our good friend Bonne Finken. Check the website for more details: www.waitingroomlounge.com

One thing is that often one of the most popular incentives for making use of your credit card is a cash-back or even rebate offer. Generally, you’ll receive 1-5% back on various expenses. Depending on the cards, you may get 1% back again on most buying, and 5% again on buying made going to convenience stores, gasoline stations, grocery stores along with ‘member merchants’.

I have observed that in old digital cameras, exceptional devices help to maintain focus automatically. The particular sensors associated with some surveillance cameras change in in the area of contrast, while others start using a beam of infra-red (IR) light, specifically in low lumination. Higher specification cameras from time to time use a mix of both methods and might have Face Priority AF where the photographic camera can ‘See’ some sort of face while keeping your focus only in that. Thanks for sharing your notions on this blog site.

Thanks for this excellent article. One other thing is that the majority of digital cameras are available equipped with any zoom lens that permits more or less of your scene to be included by ‘zooming’ in and out. All these changes in target length tend to be reflected from the viewfinder and on huge display screen at the back of the specific camera.
