The Nadas Weekly Blah Blah #60310 0

Jun3

Hello friends of The Nadas – Jason here to tell you of the goings ons in our world. We are very excited this week to be kicking off our summer in our traditional way of playing our annual show at the Simon Estes Amphitheater on the riverfront in downtown Des Moines, IA. We are happy to have Des Moines up and comer (probably soon to be surpasser) Cashes Rivers opening the show. We are excited to play songs from our new record to many of you for the first time but we have also dusted off some old ones that we haven’t played in a while for you to enjoy. The show is Friday June 4th (tomorrow) doors at 6, show starts at 7pm. Tickets are $15.00 in advance and $20.00 at the door. Children 12 and under are free. Today is the last day to buy advance tickets. They will be available until midnight at: http://www.authenticrecordsonline.com/tickets There should be plenty of tickets available at the door if you need to wait. The rain location is Peoples, same times, open to all ages, but we will do our best to be outside come hell or high water. Wait . . . if hell or high water comes we will be at Peoples.

We are also happy to be making an appearance at the Downtown Des Moines farmers market on Saturday morning. It will be the first market for the Authentic Records booth serving up locally grown music, fresh from the heartland, with some selections imported from around the country. We will be doing a few acoustic songs throughout the morning. Our booth will be located on the corner of 3rd and court. The Authentic Records booth will be selling our CDs and T- shirts as well as clearing out some older catalog titles of other Authentic Artists for shockingly low prices. Not one, not two, but . . . . it slices, it dices, it changes your oil, and it soaks up more than 10 times its weight in liquid.

In other exciting news, our friends from Bruton Stroube Studios in St Louis, MO just produced a killer new music video for our song ‘Long Goodbye.’ If you are plugged into our social media channels (http://www.twitter.com/thenadas orhttp://www.facebook.com/thenadas) you already know about this because we have been posting the heck out of it. If you like to get your Nadas news in the old school email method you can view the video in two different locations.http://www.youtube.com/nadaschannel or http://vimeo.com/12063159 It is the exact same video, just 2 different viewing platforms. Take your pick.

Also . . . we have determined that even with Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, iLike, blogs, etc. the good ole mailing list is still the best way to reach you. If you are reading this, then we are preaching to the choir, but you may have friends that like us but haven’t subscribed. Please forward this e-mail to them or anyone you think might be interested in our news and happenings and ask them to sign up for our “Blah Blah” here:
http://www.thenadas.com. I think we will begin a mailing list drive in the coming weeks to see if we can get all those people who say they are fans on Facebook or friends on Myspace to join our club. Thanks for your help.

And one last thing, if you’re in the DC area on Thursday, June 10, Mike and I would love to see you at Madam’s Organ. We’re playing an acoustic duo show starting at 9:00PM. Tickets are $20 but if you bring an Iowa ID you get in free!

Love and correspondence,
The Nadas
