Picture of Dr. UetzWhat a weekend, Nadas Nation. Any trip to Colorado is good, but three nights at the Little Bear makes that trip amazing. I can’t say enough good stuff about the trip and the people. Thanks to all of you who came out and partied like animals. And if you were there on Saturday night, you know what i mean. You people are crazy. I love it. And I’m proud of all of you who contributed to the ever-growing bra collection at the Little Bear; you can be sure it is now an important piece of rock n roll history, if it wasn’t already.

Nadas playing live at the House of Bricks in Chicago
Last week Colorado, this week Des Moines and Chicago - ish.Friday, August 1, 5:00PM - Clive After 5. We were supposed to rock it in Clive last year but this stupid stuff called “rain” came along and ruined our fun. So we’re ready to come out swinging this year. I think it’s even the final Clive After 5 of the year so be sure you come out and enjoy the night with us.Saturday, August 2 - Backlot Brewfest at Mickey Finn’s in Libertyville, IL. I hear this is a massive party from 2pm - 11pm with all sorts of food and music. It sounds like a lot of fun. And? And? And? Yes, we’re playing this show with our friends Hello Dave. Someone alert the authorities. I’ve seen how you all get when we party with the guys in HD. (That’s Hello Dave, not “High Definition.” Although it does raise some interesting thoughts on partying in High Def. Someone get to work on some concepts.) Anyway, The Nadas play at 6 and Hello Dave closes out the night at 8:30. Get there early and enjoy the whole day.

There is so much going on these days. I’m bound to forget something. But I will give it my best shot.
We’re having a garage sale. That’s right, we have a lot of stuff that we need to get out of storage and into your hands. So we decided we should have a good ol’ fashion garage sale. What’s not cool about that? So this Thursday and Friday, between 11AM and 7PM we will be selling a lot of cool stuff at 121 12th Street in downtown Des Moines. We’ll have CDs, t-shirts, stickers, out of print and rare posters, old tour banners, and some fabulous memorabilia that will be hard for us to part with. We’re also hoping to have some Authentic Artists playing during lunch and happy hour both days. I don’t think we do anything without making sure there’s a party atmosphere. So come on down and say hi, buy some cool stuff, and walk away smiling. We have some cool new t-shirts (Thanks, LB. Nice work) for sale at our online store. It’s time to start preparing yourselves for the Iowa State Fair. Work up your corndog-eating muscles, fry a few candy bars, and make plans to hit the AE stage on Aug 7, 8 and 9. Wait, should that go in the “Upcoming Shows” section? See, this new format is already messing with me. I’ll get you, HTML. I’ll get you.Okay, I need a nap. I can’t lie; it’s going to take me a while to recover from the weekend at the Little Bear. Oh, Little Bear.Love and Bric-a-brac,
Dr Tyler & The Nadas

QOTW:
What’s the coolest garage sale item you’ve ever purchased?

Wow! Just went to the online store. I saw a T shirt of my newly framed and favorite concert poster.

I’m ordering a Templeton guitar shirt as soon as I finish my beer and go inside for my credit card. Very cool.
