New Dates Added, Almanac Love & Twitter
Hey All, Jason here. Call it lazy, call it R&R, call it a paternity leave, call it what you wish, we have been taking a little time off. Or maybe it just seems like we have been taking time off. We snuck a couple of shows in there in Phoenix one weekend. And I have been racking up frequent flyer miles between SXSW in Austin and Whiskey Fest Chicago. It’s not like i have been sitting on a beach sipping pina coladas. (mmm . . . sounds good though) Anyway, we will be back into the swing of things next week with shows in Dubuque and Davenport, followed the next week by Cedar Falls and People’s in Des Moines. Tickets for the People’s show went on sale today HERE. People’s was a sold out show last time and especially with Drake Relays we hope to sell it out again this time, so get your tickets early. We are also starting to fill in the calendar for summer and have more dates on the way. Check back early and often.

In the mean time we are working on our April track for the Almanac project. Okay, we haven’t actually started yet, but we have a good concept i think. I feel a little bad about constantly talking about the Almanac project but then making it be for subscribers only. We know it is weird, and charging for a blog seems to go against the wishes of the internet gods, but we think it is a cool project. Everyone is trying to figure out how to survive in the music business right now, and it is driving innovation. By subscribing to The Almanac project our fans essentially become our  record label and help to fund the production of new music. besides, i think it is a pretty good value for a years worth of behind the scenes entertainment of the making of a record. We also understand that for those of you who do subscribe it is sort of a difficult thing to describe to your friends, let alone encourage them to subscribe. That is why we decided that we would use the old HBO method of the “sneak peek”. So for the next week we are going to give you a FREE sample of the Almanac Project. You can’t download the songs unless you subscribe, but you can stream them in the player on the right hand side. Because your friend’s, friend’s, cousin works for Letterman. And that’s the way it works folks, you’ve perpetuated us this far, help us stay relevant in the future of the music industry.
