Not so weekly Blah Blah Blah #93009 2
Hello Friends of the Nadas. Jason here writing our Not so weekly Blah
Blah. In fact I’m not so sure it would even qualify for monthly
anymore. To be honest though I am also not so sure people read the
weekly email anymore. It’s not like we aren’t communicating. We are so
busy tweeting, facebooking, myspacing, blogging, ustreaming, and
recording that we forget to communicate the old fashioned way. . . .
email. So speak now or forever hold your peace, should we continue to
send out an email occasionally, or should we just throw stuff out
there on the internet?

for all of our shows so you can RSVP and tell your friends about them.
You can also post pictures and video from shows you’ve been to. Also,
very important . . . we set up an event for our Almanac record release
tour next spring so you can all chime in and tell us where you want us
to play.

okay, on with the information you are here for. . . . .
We are hitting the road tomorrow and finally making our way back to
Chicago at the Beat Kitchen. Our friend Andrew Wagner is opening the
show. You might recognize him from his cousin Benjamin who is a label
mate of ours. We are excited to play with him for the first time in
Chicago. Friday we play at the Fineline in Minneapolis, MN with Roger
Clyne and the Peacemakers from PHX. We have played with these guys a
few times over the years and they never disappoint. Then Saturday Mike
and I will be flapping our wings all the way to Doylestown PA to play
with the Band Slo-Mo at a place called Puck. We have never played with
Slo-Mo, but we love their new record and can’t wait to hear them live.
The Next thing you need to worry about is our return to Peoples Court
in Des Moines on 10/17. It is never too early to get your tickets for
that show.
Stay tuned for info on our trip out west with stops in Denver, Fort
Collins, Kearney, NE, Steamboat, and Evergreen.

QOTW – What do you use for social networking?

The bar.
There is a great new website dedicate to the growing number of antisocial networkers living in a social networking world: http://www.antisocial-networking.org/ I really like to try and not be social with them… Seriously I like twitter the most, but if I get one more “I’m sitting on the toilet eating a hamburger” tweet from Scott I’m going to scream. Love and hollandaise, at east I think it’s hollandaise!?!
