So long Summer, hello Rocky Mountains

Well, Nadas Nation, the whirlwind trip around Iowa has come and gone. A great journey for all; thanks for helping us have a good time as we closed up another summer of fun in our great home state. It’s been a fantastic summer, wouldn’t you agree? You know, pretty good.
Today has been quite qood. LB and I finally realized it’s not too difficult to plug the iPod into our stereo here at the office. That’s a nice deal. Now we just need to figure out a way to settle our playlist disagreements.
But enough of that. You don’t need to know every detail of the office goings-on. How about some news on upcoming shows? Would you like that? I bet you would, you little so and so.
Okay, some very cool duo shows are coming up this week; so get your butts in gear and head out to have good times with Mike and Jason.
#1 - Thursday, September 11, Mick’s in Omaha, NE. #2 - Saturday, September 13, Miners Alley Playhouse in Golden, CO
I highly recommend getting out to hear the songs and the witty banter. I’m sure you will not be disappointed. Mick’s is a very cool place to catch a show. And why would you not want to head to Golden? I love Golden.

Let The Nadas take you on a sea cruise

Yes, by now you’ve probably heard about the pending party cruise with The Nadas this winter. It will be cold in Iowa but warm in the Bahamas. A lot of people have expressed interest but we need commitments by September 20 if we’re really going to pull it off. So don’t delay; if you want to get away from it all January 9 - 12, sign up NOW. Just head to http://www.fanclubcruises.com/nadas.htm and take care of business. We really want you there.

Dr Uetz wants your help. Oh and we’re selling stuff, too
Do you know someone who loves The Nadas? Do you know someone who wants to be part of a street team to help get people out to our shows? Shoot me an email and let me know. There will be big prizes and big fun for you. Thanks.
Oh, and I wanted to update everyone on some stuff at our online store. 2008 Iowa State Fair shirts are now up for sale at our online store. Check them out, buy a handful, be the most popular guy or gal at the company picnic.
We’re about ready to get a bunch of new garage sale items up on the online store, too. Some of you have been waiting a long time and your patience will soon be rewarded. We just want to get some good photos before we start selling these very special items.
That’s about it for me this week. I fear I’ve already taken up too much of your time. Hey, sometimes you win; sometimes you lose; sometimes it rains.
Okay, get out and see the boys this weekend. I expect to hear reports from the road. Be as good as you want.
Love and Falling Temps,
Dr Tyler & The Nadas
QOTW: What’s your #1 recommendation for our office iPod playlist?

My pick for your office iPod this week is The Pines “Sparrows In The Bell.” The Nadas always choose amazing cover songs that flow so well with their own music during their shows, but I could see The Pines song “Midnight Sun” fitting nicely into their set sometime. This disc makes a great soundtrack for cruising through the towns and down the roads of America. As do The Nadas. Kindred spirits, indeed.

Very excited to find a work trip to Omaha overlaps perfectly to catch a Thursday night duo at Mick’s.
