As I (Mike) type we are headed West for a run of much anticipated Colorado shows. Hopefully they have been anticipated by y’all but I am referring to our anticipation. I wouldn’t want to assume anything. Tonight is The Ghost Ranch in Steamboat followed by our annual three day stand at The Little Bear in Evergreen. I think this is only the second year we have done the multi-day stint but as they used to say in days of yore, “two doth an annual make.” Or something like that. We have a Nick Swardson comedy tape on the radio. Technically its an iPod run through a tape adaptor but like they used to say in days of yore, “Holy cow! I can play my disc-man through the car speakers!!” Come on out and join us if you can. If not then as they used to say in the days of yore, “Late”.

Upcoming Shows:
July 23- The Garden – Okoboji, IA
July 24- The Garden – Okoboji, IA
July 30-    Ragbrai- Manchester, IA
July 31- Rock and Rye- Templeton, IA
Aug 3 – Private- Des Moines
Aug 4-8 Mikes family vacation II

Love and van rides,
The Nadas

We are playing Saturday in Cedar Falls as a part of the Sturgis Falls Celebration. We have played this festival many times over the years and we are very much looking forward to it. We have other friends that are playing the day as well and we are looking forward to a great night in Cedar Falls. Here is some press on the event.

IMPORTANT!!!!

At the suggestion of some of fans on Facebook, we are now announcing the launch of our Pledge Music drive to save Meatloaf (again). We are calling it SAVE MEATLOAF EL SEGUNDO. There may be some of you who are saying “I already saved meatloaf 4 years ago” or “I just bought the new record and a ticket to a show, they already have enough of my money” or “these guys don’t deserve to be in a bus, they should cram themselves in a van and quit whining”. However, if you are NOT one of those people and you are instead saying “Let’s get Meatloaf back on the road so that The Nadas can arrive and perform shows well rested and not wanting to kill each other because they spent hours sitting on each others laps on the way to the gig” or “Let’s fix the bus so the band doesn’t break up” follow this link.

When you follow the link above you can find a much more detailed description of the project and all of the fun things we are offering to people who pledge at various levels. Probably worth the read even if you aren’t interested in pledging.

Next Week:

6/29 – I (Jason) am playing solo at the launch party for Charlie Whittmack who is embarking on his World Triathlon adventure. The party will start at 9:30AM at the Iowa Hall of Pride. You can read more about The World Triathlon here or check out theirTwitter feed or Facebook page. Look for more info on the launch event on our Facebook page and website soon.

7/1 – I will be doing a short solo set as a part of the “Locally Grown” event at Back Country Outfitters in Beaverdale. The event starts at 6pm.

7/4 – Annual 4th of July show on the shores of Beautiful Lake Okoboji.

A couple of reminders from last week. . .

We are continuing with our fan drive to add names to our mailing list. Please consider sending this link to your friends. If they do sign up, they can get the download from ourThe Nadas on the River show half off by entering the code—which they’ll receive when signing up—at checkout when purchasing.

Hello Nadas friends. . . . the summer is off to a wonderful start. We have had a handful of successful outdoor shows including our annual River Show (more to come on that front later in the message). This week we are playing in Creston Iowa with Central Iowa’s country music superstar Jason Brown. We have been threatening to do a show with him for years and the stars have finally aligned. If we all play are cards right maybe both of our acts will be come instant crossover sensations, at least for one night in Creston.

Back to the Nadas on the River Show. Those of you who were there know it was a magical night. For those of you who missed it you can still see the youtube video recap HERE.

Whether you were there are not, we’ve made the show available for your buying and listening pleasure at the Authentic Records online store. Grab the digital download HERE.

BUT WAIT! Are you a subscriber to our Weekly Blah Blah newsletter? No? Well, you probably should sign up for it. Why? Because we’ll give you the Simon Estes show 1/2 price if you do. Once signed up, you’ll receive a special code to use at checkout. That’s 22 songs for $5! We are really hoping to build our mailing list since we feel it is the best way to get info directly to our fans. Please send this link around to anyone who you think enjoys our music and encourage them to sign up. We are very protective of our list and promise not to abuse it. (Except for occasional late night post show loopy messages.)

If you just want a taste of the show, you can download the free track, ‘Long Goodbye’, that is this week’s Authentic Records Weekly Ear Snack. Every week Authentic Records gives away a free track from one of their artists. Pretty cool, huh? You can subscribe to the Weekly Ear Snack HERE.

Last but not least, as you know a few weeks ago our beloved steed, Meatloaf, had a catastrophic breakdown. He is sitting in the parking lot of our mechanic awaiting an undetermined fate. Several of our friends/fans on Facebook and Twitter have encouraged us to start a pledge drive to get Meatloaf back on the road. We have decided to give it a try. Look for info on our Save Meatloaf, El Segundo pledge drive soon.

Love and bipedal locomotion,
The Nadas
